Limited space is an issue that is always facing the residents of large cities that resulted in the division is also room in the house also enjoy unlimited size. Similarly, on the area of the room to the bedroom of child victims of these limitations.

Although the child’s bedroom which had to be placed on a limited size, but not duly followed by a design limitation. With this condition, the required precision in the design, in terms of the arrangement of furniture, colors, shapes of furniture and accessories selection.

Furniture with simple designs without many curves and ornaments will help create a bedroom that feels relieved. Single bed with a plain square shape without a head could be an option. To use a small bedside table is used to resemble the letter U upside down with a right angle. As for the desk study, we set in the form of a cantilever attached to one wall. The table can be made form a thin drawer which is used to store objects with small sizes. Meanwhile, to put books, two rows of shelves placed at the top of the table.

The size of the furniture is very important in a limited space and can make effective use of space and a maximum. Appropriate size makes no space is wasted.

Color is also crucial, so that it takes the wisdom in choosing the color theme. If you need to manipulate the width of the space is so high, then we choose a color that is not too much contrast. With white furniture will make the room look more bright and airy. It needs to be balanced with the color brown that seemed calm. With a blend of two neutral colors that will produce a design that blends in a room, so spacious and roomy impression will be created.

Not a few people are still forgetting the fundamental functions of the baby’s room, so much attention to the decorative elements in the room. Instead, talk baby’s room only unsightly but also must consider the following points.

Placement of Windows
Natural air is very good for children. Placement of windows in a room can affect the level of humidity and temperature of the room. To that end, consider the direction of the incoming sunlight into the room and adjust the placement of windows. Do not let the sunlight in. excessive or deficient. In addition, notice that there are street lights to illuminate not directly into the room. With a good window placement can also maximize the air and the wind that comes into the room, so the room feels fresh.

Cartoon characters
inevitably, the child’s room is often decorated with various cartoon characters. Instead, a cartoon character images are only applicable for room accessories such as lamps, dolls, decorative hangers, sheet or bed cover, and not on the overall theme of the room is painted on the wallpaper or wall. If necessary renewal, you just replace the parts. Costs incurred would be less expensive than replacing the need to remove the wallpaper or paint the whole wall.

Storage
In infancy, may only need a small cabinet to store a variety of needs. But think for a few years, when children have started big and has lots of toys and stuff. For that, use a closet big enough and keep the rest of the rooms have space to store a variety of purposes.

You can use wall shelves, to store items as well as decorative elements in the room, by arranging a variety of toys, dolls or children’s books on the shelves. Carpet floors are often the sweetener floor element which can provide an element of comfort and warmth. Use a carpet that is easy to clean washable clan, given the dust and dirt can be nested beneath the fur rug which can damage the health of children.

There comes a time when it becomes clear that children, who have comfortably shared all available accommodation for years, would be happier in separate rooms. Even children of the same gender may differ enough in personality, interests and habits to become very tired of sharing.

So at this stage, provide them with bed-sitters, so that they can do their own thing in the privacy of their own room.

The best way to prevent yourself from constant worry as to the whereabouts of your older children is to make it easy for them to bring their friends home. This means arranging for conditions in which they don’t have to make conversation with you all the time, so a room that isn’t just a bedroom is all-desirable.

The bed will have to serve as the sofa/lounging area for entertainment purposes, and the bedcovers or counterpanes will come in for some hard wear. A spare bed (perhaps a stacking one) is a good idea to put up friends from far afield; it is one of the delights of bigger girls to have someone to stay and to giggle with.

Bedroom-type storage should, if possible, be unobtrusive, although a lot of hanging space is usually needed. Storage for smaller things could be kept low and include a surface for doing homework. Perhaps you could run a counter-height surface all along the wall and provide simple storage facilities underneath, such as a low chest of drawers, and something like a simple office filing cabinet for hobbies that need space, like stamp collecting or dressmaking.

By the time that children have reached the bed-sitter stage, they will have a taste of their own. It may be frightful, but it must be considered; to ban everything that you don’t consider impeccable does not guarantee that they’ll grow up with faultless tastes of their own; they’re that much more likely to rebel against yours as soon as they have the opportunity.

It is also useless to expect your children to have the same feelings about neatness as you have. So don’t blanch at displays of whatever they collect – just keep the door shut and realize that a tidy room is far more unnatural to most young people than an untidy one. Messiness, in any case, is a passing phase, and provided that there is enough storage space, strewn floors and heaped chairs will miraculously clear – in time. All you need is patience and understanding.

There are several ideas to choose and arrange the furniture in children room.

Maximum floor area, which comes up smiling no matter what, is achieved by ranging all the furniture along the walls.

Scandinavian shelf and work-top unit that grows with the child by means of stacked raisers; it graduates from nappy-changing surface via nursery table to desk.

Ceiling-suspended table and off-the-floor beds for multi-level nursery life.

End-to-end beds with flaps make long play-surfaces comfortable.

Double unit creates two useful hideouts from one awkward room. Central partition and ladder are bolted to ceiling and floor. Bunks are supported from ceiling, shelves by cupboard tops. Work-tops are
cantilevered.

Duplex apartment with platforms everywhere makes maximum use of available space -for older children only.

Shallow-shelved table support and wall tidies.

“Environmental” toys need not cost the earth. This one is not only cheap and collapsible, but stimulating to the child’s imagination.

Sitting and study area – adapted dresser makes storage-seating unit (built around meshed radiator for coziness).

Play-floor obviates the need for space-consuming table’s altogether.

Duplex arrangement for an independent teenager: there is an extra bed for an overnight guest (or for an extra surface) and plenty of well-organized storage. Records and player have their own slots, and the “cave” under the top-structure is lined with shelves.

Conversation well is easily arranged and adjusted according to the size of the party if soft furnishings are really soft and easily movable.

A room in which boys can be boys. Rope ladder must be very firmly fixed, to take both inhabitants and his visitor’s weight.

Storage pillar divides sleeping area from working.

Ideal conditions for earnest concentration on games. Wall-fixed bolster stays put, unlike cushions, when room becomes bedroom.

Safety

Most accidents take place in the home, so it is up to parents to remove all hazards. Open fires must have a childproof fireguard – ugly but vital, and required by law. Windows are a danger point, and a child should never be left alone in a room with an open window of the type he could climb on or fall out of. The old sash-type windows are safer than many modern ones as you can simply never open the bottom half. Children do lean against shut windows and although bars may be unsightly, an hour or two of do-it-yourself carpentry putting them up is worth it. Make sure the bars are vertical – horizontal ones merely provide footholds.

Good lighting, especially on stairs, is essential, and nursery gates across the stairs are a must for children who are still unsteady on their feet. Bolts on the insides of doors, such as bathrooms are best removed – small children are adept at locking themselves in and panic when they can’t undo the bolts. Free standing cupboards are another hazard – they can be toppled over by junior Tarzans.

These are a few of the many points to remember. There can be no definitive roll-call of potential accident areas because every house is different, with its own black spots that need watching. To list every eventuality is futile, particularly since safety, when all is said, is largely a matter of common sense.

In a house with stairs, a safety gate is essential once a child can crawl. Difficult to buy to the exact size, a home-made gate with narrow vertical spaces, painted to match the stairs is the answer. An old set of banisters will serve admirably. When the gate is not in use, bolt it flush against the wall, making sure the bolts are sturdy.

Storage

Children are hoarders, and since you are expected to respect their possessions although not to the point of drowning in a sea of them, the best thing to do is to provide the children with sufficient storage-space to put them in.

Most bunks have storage drawers as an optional extra; very useful for blankets, toys or linen in what would otherwise just be wasted space.

Schoolchildren view with scorn bunnies decorating those small-size storage units designed especially with children in mind, and mini-cupboards and drawers are useless for coping with clothing that gets larger and bulkier every year. Anyway, a lot of things you need to store for babies are large and bulky to start with.

You’ll need a certain amount of small-size storage for babies’ clothes but you can provide for this with small trays and boxes. Try to make as much of your storage as possible accessible to the child; avoid handles that are out of reach, and doors and drawers that are difficult to man oeuvre. In this way you can encourage children to put away their own things. You can try, anyway. Labels for what goes where might help. You could use symbols for younger children and non-English speaking help. A good idea for storing socks, vests, jumpers and other small items is to buy coated wire trays from a stationer (the sort used for filing) and to use them on shelves, with or without a door (a roller blind could be used as a cover-up). For toys, look for big plastic boxes that stack up, or you might use huge plastic waste bins or laundry baskets into which the children themselves can “post” their belongings, making tidying up a game and not a chore.

Tidiness in children is usually only feasible if storage is easy. Plastic bins or baskets hold a lot of clutter and are quicker to use than drawers and cupboards.

Good firm beds are essential to support young spines. Small-size children’s beds are rather a waste of money because they are soon outgrown. However, there are several that extend and grow along with the child.

Bunk beds are a good idea if you are short of space. No child under four or five should sleep at the top; the accident statistics are frightening. Check that the ladders have smooth slats, and can be firmly fixed, preferably permanently.

All top bunks should have full-length safety rails, double ones if possible. Most bunks split into two single beds. It is a bit of an operation to stick them on top of each other during the day and separate them at night, but it is useful when the children get older and, perhaps, move into separate rooms. An alternative to bunks are beds that slide one underneath the other – a great space-saver.

Practical fathers could make a climbing frame to incorporate a platform. Strictly for older children: the frame must be sturdy and fixed both to wall and floor. Bunk beds are comfortable and space-saving. Many are now made so that they can be transformed into separate beds if the children move into separate rooms. Box-storage underneath can be a useful bonus.

Floors

Floors in children’s rooms get filthy. Face up to that fact from the start and you are half-way to making a good choice. It’s no good (and not fair) to expect that you can ever make children be careful with furnishings in their own room. So choose something that won’t look sordid when messy. Smooth floor coverings such as linoleum and foam-backed vinyl’s are especially easy to clean thoroughly.

But children spend an awful lot of time on the floor, and might want something with a bit of softness and warmth, but still smooth so that toy cars can run easily. Some forms of cord carpeting are ideal. They are cheap, come in good colours, and you’ll approach them with the assumption that you’ll get rid of them when the peak years of dirty activities are over.

Sisal is more durable but hard on knees, and stains are hard to get out. The new cords made from polypropylene are a good idea: the colors are bright pills can be mopped up easily. Cork is excellent for children’s rooms, provided is correctly sealed right from the star before it has had any rough treatment.

Carpets are impractical, but rugs, specially cotton ones that can be washed in the machine, look and feel nice on smooth floors.

Practical flooring in children’s rooms is essential. A tiled pattern (or vinyl in tiles) helps with the invention of games. Hardboard, tacked down on a wooden floor, in be stained or painted to please the child. Some might like paths for cars; train l enthusiasts a simulated railway track.
